Terms and Conditions
Payment for services
Payment in full for agreed services will be required at the time of the booking confirmation – not less than one week in advance.
All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include New Zealand Good and Services Tax (GST) of 15%.
Once a booking has been confirmed in writing we operate a no refund policy within 30 days of the tour starting.
If a tour is cancelled 30- 60 days prior to a tour starting a 50% cancelation fee is applied.
Any payments for accommodation or activities booked, deposited or paid in full on your behalf, will not be refunded unless the supplier agrees to do so. Every effort will be made by Luxury Touring to recover these deposits/payments from suppliers.
Luxury Touring Lake Tekapo Ltd (LTLT) reserves the right not to operate any tour or activity if, in our opinion, the circumstances make the tour or activity too dangerous – e.g. weather conditions, snow etc.
If a cancellation is due to adverse weather conditions or conditions outside of the control of Luxury Touring and an alternate day cannot be agreed, Luxury Touring will refund 90% of the fee, retaining 10% for administration and time spent in organising the tour option. Otherwise we operate a “no refund” policy.
Luxury Touring Lake Tekapo Ltd takes all reasonable steps to provide an enjoyable tour. Sometimes however, we travel through areas which can be severely affected by weather conditions, causing disruptions to itineraries and schedules. Assistance will be provided to make alternative arrangements when and where practicable, but no liability is accepted for either disruptions, or if any operator temporarily withdraws a service for whatever reason.
Luxury Touring Lake Tekapo Ltd is not liable for any event that is beyond its control, including but not limited to, war, severe weather conditions, natural disasters, industrial actions etc. We do not accept any liability for failure on the part of other tourism operators, transport companies, hotel contractors or other principals.
While we take all reasonable care in selecting operators whose services are included in your tour – e.g. optional/booked excursions – we cannot accept responsibility for the conduct of those operators, or the conduct of their employees.
While Luxury Touring Lake Tekapo is committed to providing their private drive service to the best of their ability, NZ Law dictates that drivers have a maximum number of hours that they can work.
The maximum time before a 30-minute rest break is required is 5.5 hours. This restriction is for your safety and the safety of the driver as well as the safety of others on the road.
Work time includes all time spent working regardless of whether it is time spent driving or doing other work. Luxury Touring Lake Tekapo abides by the law. For further details, go to www.nzta.govt.nz.
Luxury Touring is a personalised service and we will provide a quote based on your service request and budget. The rate is also dependent on the number of people travelling, the activities selected and the duration of the tour. Do not hesitate to contact us directly for an indication of cost.
